Photo was taken on May 26, 1969. The occasion was the presentation of the Presidential Unit Citation by Sec. of the Navy, John Chaffee. The two individuals standing front and center are the CO and XO, Brent and Cowell, I'm not sure which is which. The 8 people behind the CO & XO were members of 521 that served with the Division during Tet of 68. From left to right as you look at the photo they are: Chief Sessler, ?, ?, Joseph Brady, ?, Williams, ? and Ralph Kessler. Chief Jones, Chief Wilson and Chief ? are in the next row back. Note that there are 11 columns behind the Chiefs, the first ten are the boat crews and the last on the right side were folks that were not assigned to a boat. Unfortunately the light fixture is in the way of the first two crews, the first of which was the crew of 33 boat. I was a member of 33 boat and can be seen just in front of the VN trainee.
